I am joining LiveJournal to connect with others who share interest in sewing, primarily for Blythe dolls. I have a shop at Etsy which features handmade doll clothes, username: sewgrandmacathy.

I am a semi-retired teacher (high school business, 20 years) and spend lots of time at home with my husband, a retired banker. I also do bookkeeping for a small business, and keep very busy between doing that and keeping my Etsy shop going.

We live in beautiful central Florida and love it here. I have 4 sisters and 4 brothers who all live in Florida. I am particularly close to my sisters; we share many things, including making a quilt together every year (the love of sewing was inspired by our mother, who has since passed away).

Family is really important to me. In addition to my siblings and husband, I have one son and 3 wonderful grandchildren, ages 6, 3, and 1. I am always glad when they come to visit, even though the two little ones do wear me out a little!

I look forward to connecting with others who also have Etsy shops that feature sewing for the captivating Blythe doll. I must admit that Blythe has brought out the latent photographer in me (as has happened to many other admirers of her!)
